...because we all have them, right? Even cats!
I figure by writing a bit about my resolutions here on this blog, I'll be able to hold myself to them... they are written and out there on the Internet now; there's no taking it back now!
I hate to be cliche but as always, exercise more and lose a bit of weight ARE on the list. I was on a good track at the end of 2012, fell off a bit around Christmas as always, but I resolve to continue doing that. The big hurdle that I've gotten past now is convincing myself to do a workout on a day when I've also worked all day. I know that sounds silly, but I was never able to do that before (or rarely, at least). Which, yes, means I only worked out twice a week usually! You really should try to be active every day, and more active 3-5 days a week if you're hoping to see any positive change in your health/wellness.
That said - I'm looking for good places where I can do a bit of a stairmaster workout outside... you know, a nice long public staircase somewhere. Can you think of any good ones around here? Let me know in the comments if you have a good one in mind - the taller, the better!

Reading is also on my resolution list. I got a few great non-fiction books for Christmas including Paul Henderson's book about Canada & hockey, Amanda Lang's business book (she's my future celebrity girlfriend), and a clever one from the New York Times that seeks to give you some interesting new world history/knowledge every week for the year. It will definitely help me become more of a smartass... or at least that's the plan.
I intend to travel more this year - I have committed since 2008 to touch an ocean every year. This year, I think I'm heading west. Hopefully California for a bit. Not during the summer - I don't want to miss out on how awesome it is here in the summer - but maybe in mid spring.
Finally, I'm well on my way to this after some very nice Christmas gifts from my sister, but I intend to be a bit more stylish both on my person and in my humble abode. The latter is where I've made some improvements already, with some very cool vintage framed posters... now I just have to hang them.
What are you resolving to do this year? How did you do last year? Let me know in the comments section below!
