Residents in the Meaford area are being advised of some live fire training exercises at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre.
Taking place from April 16th to the 18th, the 56th Field Artillery Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery will be conducting exercises and the resulting succession of loud noises may be heard between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Lieutenant Jason P. Gresel, Unit Public Affairs Representative Department of National Defence says in a release, the noise may be heard from large-calibre guns firing simultaneously, and the exercise is purely for training purposes, “at no time will safety of security of the public be in jeopardy.”
