South Bruce OPP say a West Grey resident is facing charges as it wraps up a human trafficking investigation.
Police say in June, the Crime Unit began an investigation involving a victim from the Brockton area.
As a result, a 27-year-old from West Grey has been charged with six counts of assault, assault causing bodily harm, trafficking people, and material benefit resulting from trafficking people.
While the OPP will not release the names to protect the identity of the victims, the accused is set to appear in court in Walkerton at a later date.
Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police say victims of sexual assault and intimate partner violence are not alone. If you or someone you know needs support, there are local resources available to help.
