Significant snowfall continues in Grey Bruce today.
There are snow squall warnings for Grey and Bruce counties.
While the Bruce Peninsula and Northern Grey County are expected to get 10-25 cm of snow, Southern Bruce County is expected to get 40 to 70 cms.
On the Bruce Peninsula, Enviromnet Canada expects 15 to 25 cm and near zero visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow continuing into this evening. They say
lake effect snow squalls will continue today before tapering to light flurries this evening.
In Southern Bruce County, Environment Canada says 40 to 70 cm could fall with whiteout conditions in heavy snow and blowing snow continuing through tonight.
They say winds are expected to weaken this evening. Snow squalls are expected to taper to light flurries Wednesday morning.
In Owen Sound and Northern Grey County, expect 15-25 cm and near zero visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow continuing into this evening.
They say “Lake effect snow squalls will continue today before tapering to light flurries this evening. The heaviest snow is expected over southern sections of the region, towards Sable Beach and Chatsworth. In addition, gusty winds are producing significantly reduced visibility in blowing snow.”
