The City of Owen Sound is changing its strategic plan to coincide with city staff’s priorities and ease the gap between this term of council with the next.
A release notes the refreshed plan was approved by council on April 19 and was crafted on the framework of the previous 2015-2020 strategic plan.
The city is keeping its core values and visions of being a caring, creative and sustainable environment with the new refreshed plan to reflect seven council priorities and two corporate priorities:
-A city that grows
-Safe city
-Prosperous city
-Green city
-A city that moves
-City Building
-Collaborative city
-Clear direction
-Service excellence
Quarterly updates will be made by staff to lead committees as well as a progress report every six months to be reviewed by council.
“The refreshed Strategic Plan is Council’s updated renewed roadmap to help guide us to strive for a higher level of accountability and performance as we lead our city forward,” says Mayor Ian Boddy.
